“I’ve seen other schools with brightly colored walls and it’s so appealing. Now my school has transformed, too! The painted walls and vibrant grounds make it my favorite spot to enjoy lunch.” ~ Armaan, class 6

HEALTH

Health Events, Medical Camps, Aid: Medical/dental camp, life-saving platelets donated by Anirudh, our Digital Outreach Manager, teacher Asha B led a menstrual education session for LDA’s 7th and 8th grade girls. “At L.D.A, our teachers make learning about health fun! Unlike my old school, here we had an awesome dental camp where doctors checked our teeth. At this  school teachers care about our health, make studying exciting, and keep us smiling”! ~ Shazeb, class 6

EDUCATION

Educational Aid: We provided free and subsidized education to 305 students and supported 6 young adults in university and technical college. LDA Activities: General Knowledge competition, science project, and environmental education followed by tree and flower planting. Our teachers taught basic first aid and helped our students develop take home first aid kits. We organised a cleanliness drive with our senior students. Teachers: Our teachers have continuing education requirements. We help them as they need and offer them the use of internet and laptops at LDA.

“I cherished my time at LDA, back then it only went to class 5. I’m excited that my son gets to be at LDA through class 8. This institution stands out for its fun community events, rigorous academics, and emphasis on cultivating good manners, making it the clear choice for his education. ~ Rita S, mother of Utkarsh, class 1

The positive and liberal environment has played a crucial role in my overall development. I’m proud to be part of the LDA family!”  ~ Gauri, class 8

THANKS

Thank you to our friends and visitors including Ganesha’s Kinder (Swami Tat Sat and our German friends), our Italian friends in Florence and elsewhere in Italy, Randall, Jay, Joan, John P., John and Amy, Sudhanshu and Kelly, Mary T., KHEL’s Boards in India and the US, City Councilors Kamli Bhatt Parshad and Haji Iliyas Ansari Parshad, Maithili and RDI/HIHT, Saumya and Urban, Dr. Nisidh G, Bhola S, Shruti P, Rajender, and Zakir.  As always, thanks to KHEL staff, and Beni for shouldering an enormous burden and making it look easy. Ammaji has not been able to return to India; she inspires us from afar. We serve in memory of Mahamandaleshwara Swami Veda Bharati (Pandit Dr. Usharbudh Arya), who grew up in Dehradun and dedicated his life to helping others. Special thanks to Anirudh and his Digital Outreach team – with minimal assistance from Stomy, they have crafted this Annual Report.

It takes a global village to educate our kids. With your support, we give them Kindness, Health, Education, and Laughter – the tools they need to become successful adults.
